In this project we worked as a team with 969 architecture studio, in the complete renovation of a single-family home in which we wanted to maintain its classic and Mediterranean essence, making it more comfortable and modern, with larger and brighter spaces, both inside as well as on the exterior of the home, always respecting the unique style of this Cadiz neighborhood that is more than 60 years old.
It has been a pleasure for us to be able to participate in the entire reform process from the beginning, since we have been able to intervene in all spaces. It is a timeless house, elegant and fun at the same time, focused for a young family.
To achieve the result we were looking for, we chose natural tones, warm woods, old-style handmade ceramics, natural raffia, wicker and stucco.
When thinking about the interior design project, the clients asked us for a house with color, and spaces prepared to welcome family and friends, since they live abroad and wanted their house to be a meeting place on vacation. They needed large spaces to meet and enjoy long meals, a play area for children and very practical furniture.
The spectacular vegetation that surrounds the house, as well as the proximity of the sea and the light so characteristic of this idyllic place, were a source of inspiration for us. The colors that predominate in the home are greens and blues, although we have also given touches of ochers and pinks.
It has been a very special project for us, and we have always sought the comfort and practicality of the home, but always taking care of the style, not only of the architecture of the home, but also of this area, one of the most wonderful places from southern Europe. This is not the first time we have worked in Sotogrande, and it is always a privilege for us.
