GRUPO INSUR entrusted us with the interior design project for this show house in the Plaza del Teatro, in the historic center of Malaga. They carried out an ambitious rehabilitation project of the 1851 building in which the house is located, turning it into a residential complex called “Plaza del Teatro”, composed of apartments and duplexes with 2 and 3 bedrooms, located in one of the most attractive and demanded areas of the city. This unique and historical building has revalued its surroundings, in addition to giving continuity to the modernization and regeneration of the area.
When considering the style of the decoration, we wanted to look for a contemporary style but with a sophisticated touch, which respected and complemented the classical architecture of the building. The furniture with straight lines, more modern, is enriched with touches of gold in the lamps and accessories, wallpapers and velvet cushions. The beautiful wooden windows with their shutters and their flared wall were respected without adding any type of curtain, adding warmth to the spaces with papers and touches of colors in the secondary elements such as pouffs, stools and cushions.
