TUCAN VILLA

VILLA IN LOS NARANJOS, MARBELLA

This home captivated us from the very beginning. It is a single-storey residence located on the Los Naranjos golf course in Marbella, the result of a complete renovation designed by architect Jorge Rincón Wong. With an interior architecture that is timeless, serene and warm, the interior design needed to be fully aligned with this balance, enhancing it without disrupting the overall harmony.

Our interior design project, developed in close collaboration with the architect, focused on emphasising the warmth of the home, starting from the idea that spaces should flow naturally and feel welcoming and relaxing. A key objective was to reinforce the continuity between indoor and outdoor areas, creating a seamless relationship throughout the house.
The surrounding natural landscape was a constant source of inspiration, as well as the use of materials and textiles capable of conveying calm and reflecting a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle.

For the interior styling, we selected noble materials and carefully chosen natural fabrics. Linen and cotton in very soft tones, both plain and with subtle stripes used in specific areas, add texture and lightness to the spaces. White dominates in all its shades, combined with very light greys and earthy tones, complemented by blues, greens and water-inspired hues. Natural fibre rugs play a prominent role, reinforcing the sense of comfort and natural elegance.
The outdoor areas follow the same aesthetic language as the interior. Teak wood and light-coloured textiles create visual continuity and invite outdoor relaxation, offering beautiful views over the golf course and strengthening the connection between inside and outside.

The main challenge of the interior design project was to achieve a balance between natural elements and elegance, ensuring that no detail felt out of place in any of the rooms. Certain features give the house a distinctive character, such as the artworks by artist Quique Sarzamora, as well as the panoramic mural in the entrance and the interior garden, both inspired by Japanese aesthetics, reflecting Jorge Rincón Wong’s strong connection to this Asian country.
