In this luxury residence located in La Quinta (Marbella), designed by architect Carlos Lamas, LA ALBAIDA developed a contemporary interior design project that enhances the original architecture while bringing warmth, exclusivity, and balance. The aim was to create a sophisticated and timeless home, in constant dialogue with its natural surroundings and panoramic sea views.

The selection of natural materials defines the character of the project. Exposed stone and noble woods, including natural oak and caramel walnut, are used in both bespoke furniture and architectural finishes. These are combined with taupe lacquered surfaces, subtle marble veining, and matte gold details. The colour palette, built around greens, ochres, and tobacco tones, reinforces harmony with the landscape while adding depth and refinement to the interiors.

The double-height central space becomes the true heart of the home. For this area, we designed a sculptural cascading chandelier with delicate lines, establishing a vertical dialogue with the architecture. Upon entering the house, the suspended lighting combined with the sea views creates a powerful visual impact, defining the spatial experience from the very first moment. Indirect lighting, the use of smoked glass, and matte ceramic accessories complete an atmosphere that is elegant, welcoming, and carefully balanced.

In the five bedrooms, the design focuses on neutral tones and soft textiles, enhancing the sense of rest and wellbeing while incorporating subtle touches of colour. Throughout the home, selected fabrics stand out for their tactile richness, including linen, matte velvets, and raffia, adding warmth and sophistication to the interiors.

The project extends the interior design seamlessly to the outdoors, conceiving the terrace and garden as a natural extension of the interior spaces. Low-profile furniture, an outdoor kitchen-bar, and a swimming pool create an environment designed for social living and outdoor enjoyment. On the lower ground floor, the wellness and leisure areas are grouped together, featuring a gym, spa, bar, and TV lounge, forming a space dedicated to relaxation and a high-end residential experience.

The main challenge of the project was to balance the necessary restraint required not to compete with the views with the warmth expected from a home. The result is a luxury interior design project in Marbella that is serene, enriching, and timeless, fully aligned with the philosophy of LA ALBAIDA.
