The project

Reding41

In deep

In this room, the design of the floor is so prominent that we played with the blue tone of the Nolla mosaic, and we chose a cobalt blue fabric from Casamance for the three-seater sofa, avoiding the use of rugs so as not to cover up the wonderful design of the floor. Keep in mind that this space is a continuation of the living room, so there should be a perfect balance between the two, also taking into account that the door that separates them is made of  a composition of small glass, so from one room you can see the other. Both rooms have their own character and individuality, but each is an extension of the other.

The coffee tables are from the firm Pianca, and using their distinctive design, they create geometric and decorative games by combining them with each other, interacting with the wonderful drawing of the Nolla mosaic.

The armchair, also from the firm Pianca, has an eclectic design with a lot of personality. We highlight not only its design, but also its comfort. We didn´t use curtains in this room either, to give the windows the much-deserved prominence again.

In this room, a large work by the artist Oscar Pérez stands out. The sea and the different shades of blue in this wonderful painting connect with the rest of the blues in the different pieces in the room.

Opposite the sofa, another piece stands out in an intense blue, a cupboard by the firm Pianca. It has a simple design but it does not go unnoticed. It accesses the living area and gives it prominence, characterizing the environment with style and elegance.

If there is a corner of the house that we like, it is this corner that we have turned into a workplace. Surrounded by windows through which a lot of light enters throughout the day, the view also accompanies us, since again if we look straight ahead we can enjoy this wonderful French-influenced building from 1908 called the "Palacio de la Tinta", which takes us to romantic Paris, and sitting at the desk, the view on the left is a part of the facade of the historic building in which the house is located, “Las Casas de Félix Sáenz”. We couldn't imagine a better place to work.

The design of this workspace finishes with a work by the artist Pedro Zamora. His work aroused a lot of curiosity in us from the beginning because, as he himself says, "I don't paint anything", and it's true, because he uses book covers to create his works, and it is by manipulating it that the catarsis is produces that leads these remias to live another life. We really enjoyed visiting his studio and seeing first-hand the process of creating his works.

Once again it was Marta del Corral, famous cultural manager of Malaga, who helped us in the selection of pieces for the room, as in the rest of the house, and who put us in contact with the different artists whose works we can enjoy throughout the house.
