In this room also, the chosen furniture, from the Italian firm Pianca, is light, hanging and with stylized legs, so that the Nolla mosaic floor does not lose its leading role.
The dining table stands out for its lightness and clean lines. The edges are rounded, and the top is made of lacquered glass. The lamp is from Bomma, a Czech firm that combines contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. The height of the ceilings of the house, another of the things that made us fall in love the first time we saw it, allows us to play with the spaces and insert large pieces, such as this lamp with a spectacular design.
Of the cupboard, the continuity of the surfaces stands out: the entire structure is wrapped in a continuous and thin panel with a leather finish, which produces a monolithic effect, and the absence of handles pursues this same objective.
On top of the cupboard, there is a speaker from the signature brand Bang & Olufsen, and its spectacular aesthetics makes it look like a work of art, being perfectly integrated into the design of the rest of the dining room.
The choice of furniture colors is once again intended to highlight the floor and its tones, and not break with them, but accentuate them.
As in the living room and the drawing room, in this room we have not used curtains either. The shutters take out the light if necessary, and the windows, which are the original ones of the house that we have been able to recover thanks to Ifamasa, deserve to have all the prominence. The view from the dining room window is the other building that makes up, together with this one in which the house is located, the historic complex and recognized as one of the emblematic buildings of Malaga called "Las Casas de Félix Sáenz". On the other side, the window of the room from which you can see “El Palacio de la Tinta”. The view from both windows transports you to another time and another place.
The works chosen for the walls are by the artist Pedro Zamora. Once again, the help of Marta del Corral, a renowned cultural manager, was essential to be able to complete our interior design project with such outstanding pieces.
As we already indicated in the post about the drawing room, what is characteristic of Pedro Zamora is that he does not paint. The basis of his creations are book covers, and the studied combination of these results in these great works.
